Duke Nukem movie is on the way. Duke Nukem is one of gaming’s most beloved heroes, even if he hasn’t had a new game in a decade. Badass badass made a name for himself in the ’90s with a shootout that rivaled the likes of Doom. Although Duke Nukem is pretty much a relic of the ’90s Duke Nukem Forever It was in development hell for nearly a decade before it was released in early 2010. The game was panned by critics, but Duke Nukem still tried to retain some prominence by appearing in other games such as the remaster bullet. Needless to say, Duke’s history is weird, but he’s on the cusp of moving to Hollywood.
According to The Hollywood ReporterCobra Kai writers Josh Heald, John Horowitz and Hayden Schlossberg are set to produce Duke Nukem with Legendary Entertainment, the studio behind it. It is believed that one of the three minds behind Cobra Kai may be in contention to direct the film.
As of now, there is no release date for the movie nor plot details. Ideally, the movie would still retain the absurdity and humor of the games while ramping up the excitement. The world is all too familiar with adaptations of Cursed Video Game movies, but the past few years have proven that it’s possible to bring video games to life in other media.
